Layout Boat Hunts: Our Layout Hunts are small party, 2-Person Hunts using Core Sound X2 Layout Boats built right here in North Carolina. We have been using Core Sound Layouts since 2007 and have found them to be the safest, best built boats available. Our main focus on most hunts is for Sea Ducks (primarily Black Scoter, Surf Scoter, and White-wing Scoter). However, divers are frequently harvested during these hunts and can be targeted if numbers warrant.

 Hunts are half-day outings beginning at legal shooting time and ending when legal limit of the targeted species is met, or 11:30 a.m. Pricing: $250.00 per gun with a 2-Person Minimum. Parties of up to 3 can be accommodated. Can't find anyone to go with you? No worries - we are happy to take single hunters at an additional cost and where the schedule allows. Due to the nature of layout hunting, waterproof clothing is a must, as is foot wear. Waders are most commonly worn, but waterproof bibs and footwear is fine. Typical shot sizes are BB thru #4. However, we recommend #3's and larger to keep cripples to a minimum.

Ocean or Sound Sea Duck Hunts - 25' Bankes Titan:

Ocean hunts are for parties up to (5) Hunters and will take place on the Atlantic Ocean off of NC's Crystal Coast. Most hunts will typically take place within 3 miles of shore, but run times to hunting areas can vary. Additionally, birds will frequently change feeding locations and additional travel may be necessary. While we can't ever guarantee anything, this is your best opportunity to encounter various species that are aren't frequently found inshore. Again, these hunts are on the ocean and exposed to ocean conditions. We strongly recommend that you consider your groups experience level with ocean conditions prior to booking, as refunds for sea related discomfort are not provided. We will not run in unsafe sea states. Swell height and swell timing vary but, are almost a constant.

 

Sound hunts will take place in and around Pamlico Sound and surrounding rivers and tributaries. This is a great alternative to layout hunting for those either physically incapable or personal preference. Pricing: $250.00 Per Gun, 3 Hunter Minimum Weekdays and 4 Hunter Minimum Weekends. Ocean Hunts: $1250.00 up to 5 persons

 

Early Season Teal Hunts: You asked and we listened! Back by popular demand, we will be resuming early season teal hunts again for the '24-'25 Season. These are quick One-on-One hunts in and around the salt marshes of Carteret County. Similar to wood duck hunting in that they typically are done by 8:30 a.m., this is a quick hunt. Unlike some of the Midwest and Deep South states we are a 'pass through' state and bird numbers vary day-to-day. Weather conditions can occasionally extend flight times and make for some excellent hunting. Other than the birds, the best part about it... it's warm and getting wet doesn't matter!

Pricing: $125.00
